Laser is used for extremely precise cutting of various metal alloys. While the laser cutting head cannot handle thick panels, it is required to move quickly, perform reliably, and provide a high cutting throughput. It is why we at Zlem decided to buy a laser cutter from the Polish company Kimla.
The laser beam can cut carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. The maximum thickness of processable workpieces is 16 mm. These materials can be cut and routed by the 4-kilowatt laser beam with immense precision and a very high complexity of cutting patterns. Laser-cut workpieces virtually require no grinding afterwards.
DESCRIPTION:
The work area is 1.5 x 3 m and allows quick cutting of multiple small pieces or complex shapes, while superior processing efficiency is driven by two factors. First, the operating speed of 5 m/s; second, 6 G of motion acceleration. The ultra-advanced measurement systems integrated in the Kimla laser cutter guarantee world-unique motion dynamics thanks to positioning, feed, and acceleration controllers.
